How About These 2017 NBA Finals?

Friday night, we learned exactly why you can’t ever underestimate the heart of a champion.

LeBron James got the help he needed from Kyrie Irving and his supporting cast in game four tonight. And just like that, the defending champions are back in familiar territory, facing a 3-1 deficit against the Warriors going into game five. In 2016, the Cavaliers pulled off the unthinkable thanks to some spectacular basketball from LeBron James. And it’s certainly safe to say that he’s picked up from where he’s left off – the King is averaging a triple double through four games.

But does Cleveland have the firepower to do it again – this time against a Warriors team that has added Kevin Durant into the mix?

Going into this series, I thought the Cavaliers would need help from more than just the starting five to stop the Warriors. Through three games, it appeared as if the Warriors unselfish brand of basketball and arsenal of scorers would prove to be too much. But I’m happy that the Cavaliers avoided the knockout blow on their home court in game four.

Both of these rival teams have played with a tremendous amount of passion throughout this series. As a fan of sports, you have to appreciate the greatness from both teams! Both of these teams are well deserving of a championship. But if the Cavaliers can’t erase another 3-1 deficit, it would be awesome to see a player as humble and hardworking as Kevin Durant win his first championship. Nothing beats the feeling of winning your first championship. In February 2002, I was blessed with my first Super Bowl victory with the New England Patriots, and it took everything from everybody to make it happen. It certainly takes an all-hands-on-deck mentality from the front office, coaches, and the players to win a championship.

But on Monday, I want nothing else other than some Hickory Smoked BBQ wings from Wingstop and another great matchup between these two outstanding teams in game five. Wings and NBA Finals? Talk about a winning combination!
